Club, sports and opportunities

Creating learning experiences that build confidence first and foremost is the most powerful thing we can do for our students. The more confidence they have, the more they engage their curiosity to explore the world around them and take risks to learn and grow. Our learners transform ‘keeping busy’ into ‘busy learning,’ discovering new interests and gaining the confidence to say, “Yes, I can!”

International opportunities

BSG students enjoy unparalleled global learning experiences through the International School Partnership programmes, including ILOS - International Learning Opportunities for Students. They connect with peers worldwide, engage in international exchanges, and participate in unique initiatives like ISP Model United Nations and ISP Filmmakers.

Student leadership opportunities

Students put their learning into practice through a number of opportunities at BSG

The Student Council

Elected members from Primary and Secondary are voted in every year by their peers. The council promotes the needs of all students and work to identify how we can improve our school for all who learn and work within our community. In the past year the Student Council led whole school activities such as e-safety, anti-bullying week, neurodiversity week and fund-raising actions. They are also our Ambassadors at international organisation visits such as to the United Nations.

Student Wellbeing Ambassadors

Students work with the Heads of Pastoral and undertake coaching training in relation to promoting wellbeing for all. They can then promote wellbeing across the school and feed in any suggestions or improvements.

Book Buddies

Senior students read to Primary students and role model reading as fun and worthwhile. The students are learning out loud and collaborating together during this experience.
