House System

Every student and staff member at the British School of Geneva is assigned a House.

The House system is a long-standing tradition that creates healthy competition, promotes good work and behaviour, encourages teamwork, provides opportunities to take on responsibilities, and brings everyone in the school together.

Our Houses are: Hawks / Kestrels / Eagles / Falcons

Students collect points for: behaviour, school work, participation, internal events – maths quiz, sporting events. Encourages competition between houses, this helps to focus on teamwork, loyalty, overall effort. Points are awarded by staff. Points are tallied up at the end of the year and the winning house is awarded a group treat, such as cinema & food, an afternoon out of school (local park & picnic), and so on.
