The British School of Geneva is conveniently located on the main road through Châtelaine, providing excellent connectivity. Positioned just two minutes from the motorway and a brief 10-minute drive, or a couple of stops on the tram, from the United Nations in Geneva’s international quarter, our school is ideally placed for easy access. Direct bus routes—6, 19, 22, and 51—stop right at the Chatelaine bus stop outside our school, providing an easy and safe daily commute for our students.
We also offer a dedicated transport service for families on the right bank of Geneva and neighbouring France, enhancing the ease with which students and families can locate us. Our class sizes vary depending on the age-group pathway. Our children learn in class sizes of no more than 18, with a teacher and teaching assistant in Early years, and our A Level students learn in groups of no more than 14.
We offer English as an Additional Language (EAL) programmes for students who need extra help with their speaking, reading, and writing. We use both Oxford and Password EAL assessments. Find out more about our advanced and supportive approach to multilingualism.
We offer a variety of languages reflecting the diversity of our students, who collectively speak over 60 different languages.
In Early Years, Primary and Secondary, English and French are core offerings. For students interested in expanding their language skills, we also provide German, Russian, and Spanish through requested co-curricular activities.
For A-Level students, we offer courses in English Language and Literature and French. Modern foreign languages such as German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, and Japanese can also be added for a moderate additional fee.

Yes, students at the British School of Geneva wear their uniforms with pride, reflecting our shared values and community spirit.
Designed for comfort and style, the uniform is required for all students through Year 11, including school shoes and bags. A Level students (Years 12 and 13) have the flexibility to choose their attire.

We have a Parent Portal which our teachers use to share feedback and progress updates. You’ll also be invited to regular parent-teacher meetings. Our leaders are always available to answer any questions you may have, too.
